Available now! We're pleased to introduce brand new rod bearings in many sizes for your John Deere B and John Deere 50. Simply select the size you need and get that tractor back to work. Bearings are sold each. One bearing set does one (1) rod. That means you'll need two (2) sets to do both rods or the entire tractor. Our .030 rod bearings are a big problem solver for you folks with worn cranks. In years past, this meant you needed a new crank or costly machine work to weld the rod bearing journals on the crank back to standard size. No worries now, simply turn your crank to the size you need and get on with your life. It's as simple as that! This type connecting rod bearing fits the B3201R connecting rod. The B3201R rod is a insert-type rod. That simply means the bearings are removable and easy to replace. Babbit rods have a bearing that is part of the rod. The babbit is poured into the rod. These type rods have a shim pack that is used to set the appropriate tolerances to your crank. Don't purchase your parts from dealers who don't know the difference between these rods. We know these tractors inside and out and will do everything we can to make your engine rebuild an easy one! We have these rod bearings available in std, .010, .020 and .030. Fits the following applications: John Deere 50 (All using the B3201R connecting rod) John Deere B (96,00 and up using the B3201R connecting rod) Please check your application carefully! Even your early 1941 B could be using this insert-style rod. Babbit rods were used from the factory but odds are good that at some point in your tractors 75+ year history, the motor was rebuilt. Don't assume it has one style or the other! Babbit rods are the only rods that use shims!
